Every month, we’ll be shining a spotlight on an inspiring woman — someone who embodies strength, grace, and growth in her own unique way.
Yesenia Camarillo
For our very first feature, I chose someone who has known me since I was a little girl. Even though we don’t see each other often, I’ve always admired her from afar — watching her grow as a woman, a mother, and a business owner. Funny enough, I had never told her how much I admired her until the day I reached out to ask if I could interview her for my blog. She immediately said yes, and I’m so grateful she did.
She’s a wife, a mother, and a successful entrepreneur — and the wisdom she shared during this interview truly touched my heart. I hope her words encourage and motivate you in your own journey toward balance and growth.
1. “What does balance mean to you in your everyday life — as a businesswoman, mother, and individual?”
Part of my daily balance, even with irregular schedules, includes a support team. It would not be possible without the external support. This could be anyone, a sitter, a grandparent, a soccer mom, or your husband. If you are able to create and maintain a support system, anything can be accomplished. You need a team, you need a village.
2. “Can you share a time when things felt completely out of balance, and how you found your way back?”
Yes, managing and co-owning multiple businesses, caring for three children, their busy schedules and my personal life is a daily challenge. There is easy room every day for something to get you off balance. It happens very often and most of the time these are things that are out of my control. I get through by responding positively to any situation and live with strong belief that everything happens for a reason. I am a problem solver and a person of faith and this is how I push through.
3. “Many women feel pressure to ‘do it all perfectly.’ How do you give yourself grace when things don’t go as planned?”
I live a very realistic life and I understand that nothing can ever be done perfectly. I know I do my very best everyday with everything and everyone around me. Do not expect praise from anyone; I believe no one should. Nothing can be done perfectly, no one should be under that kind of pressure.
4. “What habits or routines help you manage your time and energy between work, family, and personal life?”
Personally, I enjoy sports every now and then. I try to eat healthy, and an occasional 15 min snooze usually does it for me in the afternoons to get an energy kick, physically. I have farm animals and enjoy caring for them; that relaxes me. My absolute favorite thing, seeing my boys in the afternoons and spending time with them; that is my mental recharge. I look forward to afternoon routines everyday. I always include my prayer time during the day.
5. “If you could tell other women one thing about creating balance and growth in their own lives, what would it be?”
Anything can be done, it is a matter of prioritizing, time management, and accommodating schedules to make it all work through. I highly recommend to limit the time spent in electronics, social media and focus more quality time in personal and professional growth. Use technology to your advantage. Acknowledge those around you that help you. No one grows alone and independently, we all need someone to help, support and encourage. If you are in trouble, seek for help, there is nothing wrong with that. It only makes you stronger.
I hope this conversation reminded you — like it did me — that balance doesn’t mean perfection. It means giving yourself grace, trusting your faith, and surrounding yourself with people who lift you up.
If her story spoke to you, leave a comment or share this post with another woman who might need the reminder. And if you’d like to be featured in an upcoming interview, reach out! I’d love to share more stories that inspire, encourage, and remind us that we’re all blooming — one season at a time. 🌸

This month has been crazy, and honestly, when life gets chaotic, our finances usually get tossed around right along with everything else. Unexpected expenses have this funny way of sneaking up on us… quietly… like little ninjas.
Take this week, for example. I had this whole plan to cook at home so I wouldn’t spend money eating out. Cute, right? Well, reality said absolutely not. My schedule exploded, and by the time I got home I was way too tired to even think about cooking. So then I told myself, “Okay, I’ll just cook in the morning.” And guess what again? Morning came, I was running late, tired, or dealing with something else—basically everything except cooking. So yes… I ended up eating out.
Thankfully, I had a small cushion in my budget for moments exactly like this. And it reminded me how important budgeting, saving, and financial freedom really are.
Which brings me to someone who embodies all of that: my dear friend, Claudia Escamilla. She’s not only an amazing human, she’s a powerhouse in her field—owner of Escamilla Campos Services Inc. in Brownsville, TX, and someone who knows accounting inside and out. I trust her with both my personal and business finances—as do so many of her clients and friends. She’s brilliant, grounded, and has an incredible professional trajectory.
So without further ado, let’s jump into my interview with her:
Definitely something I had to learn over time. This one took me a while to do. And I still struggle in my everyday to manage.
Two things come to mind when I see that. Freedom of time and freedom to give. Time because that's the most precious thing we own as humans and give because that's how we show how human we are.
I write everything down when it comes to my income and my expenses. That gives me a clear vision of where I stand with my money and how I am going to manage it.
Be honest to yourself and to your pocket. If you use your credit card or debit card, get your statements and categorize them. You will be surprised where the leaks are at.
Mindset plays a very important role. I feel it's actually the foundation of it all. So, it depends on you how strong you make it. It doesn't mean you have to be positive all the time. Sometimes it just means you have to be honest and real to you. Don't cheat yourself.
We have a natural ability to manage anything that comes our way. Women are born naturals to manage a house, a family, a meal, a company, etc. We are great organizers by nature. I know money is intimidating especially in this time and day, but I feel that us women can do it all. Start small.
Thank you for choosing me on these important questions. I really needed a refresh on my financial journey. I've read many books and articles of financial management and financial freedom and the one that I love the most is Dave Ramsey. He is very blunt. Money can make you or break you. And the scary part is that YOU are the only one that has control of how is spend. Unfortunately, we as women are wired to think that the man is the main provider of our home, therefore we become victims of the "its a mans world". But thank God for feminism lol. It took one bitch to say, hey, we can do more than what these assholes are telling us we can do.
Mindset plays a huge role. Lets rewire us.
When we wrapped up, Claudia thanked me for including her in these questions—but honestly, I should be thanking her. Conversations like this are the reminders we all need from time to time: to slow down, get honest with ourselves, and take back control of our financial journey.
If you’re looking for someone who is not only knowledgeable but genuinely cares about your financial well-being, reach out to her. Whether you need accounting, bookkeeping, or financial guidance, Claudia is truly one of the best. You’ll be in good hands.
